We started Fedalom because we were tired of travel sites built by people who clearly do not travel. The big OTAs optimise for the cheapest click, not the best trip. The package-tour operators optimise for the lowest operational cost, not the most interesting afternoon. Between those two extremes is a gap the size of everything we love about this industry — and nobody was serving it well.

We are travellers first. Every member of our team spends real weeks of the year on the ground in the places we sell. We have sat in the same delayed-flight gate rooms you have. We have been upsold at check-in desks we did not trust. We built Fedalom so that when a traveller asks us a question, the person answering has actually been there in the last twelve months.

The software exists to make real experts — guides, concierges, local partners — move faster. Not to replace them. We have built routing engines, pricing tools, and itinerary builders so the humans in our team can spend their time doing what humans do better than any model: knowing a place, and knowing the person in front of them.

Our customer list skews toward people who have seen a few passports. Repeat business is the only marketing we really trust. If we cannot get you to come back, we have failed at the only metric that matters.

Craft and taste are the words we use internally, and we mean them specifically. Craft is the itinerary that stops in the village nobody else stops in because the light at 5pm on the minaret is worth the detour. Taste is the restaurant we do not book because the chef stopped caring last year. Algorithms cannot do either of these things. People who live on the road can.

Curation is the second half of the answer. We do not sell every hotel on earth. We sell about four hundred we have vetted ourselves. Every single one has been slept in by someone on our team within the last eighteen months. If a property drops in quality, we drop it from the platform — often the same week.

We get unfair access because we have earned it. The riad owner in Fez, the dive school in Dahab, the private guide in Lalibela — these are not affiliates we signed up through a dashboard. They are relationships built over years of sending the right kind of travellers to them and never haggling on their price. That trust is our most valuable asset.

Finally: transparent pricing. No dynamic markup based on your cookies. No fake scarcity timers. No "only three left at this price." The number you see is the number. If we make money, it is the planning fee you saw before you agreed to anything. That is how we sleep at night.
