Wadi Rum is where they filmed the last good desert movie, and the one before that, and the one before that. Red sandstone rises out of flat orange desert in shapes that do not look earned. You can scramble them. You can Jeep across the basin at sunset. You can sleep in a bubble dome and watch the Milky Way move.
